Morelli takes another step towards PAS2060

Morelli Group has placed the first fleet order for Peugeot’s latest low emission vehicle, the 508 Peugeot Sport Engineered.

The four-wheel drive features plug-in hybrid technology and produces 360hp by combining an internal combustion engine with two electric motors and offers up to 26 miles of zero emissions range.

Rob Cohen, Morelli Group financial director, said: “We are working towards PAS2060 and becoming carbon neutral, and our fleet is a major aspect of this process. This vehicle takes the proportion of our passenger fleet powered by EV/hybrid to above 15%. We will also be working very closely with Stellantis as we convert our commercial vehicles (CVs) to electric vehicles in the coming years.”

Julie David, managing director, Peugeot, UK, said: The new 508 Peugeot Sport Engeineered is an extremely exciting addition to our vehicle line up as we look forward to providing a fully electrified range in the coming years. With low emissions and pure-electric capability, it makes for an excellent choice for fleets and businesses looking for a striking company car. We are pleased to continue our work with The Morelli Group and look forward to working with them in the future.”
