Morelli secures PAS2060

Morelli Group has achieved carbon neutrality across all its branch locations, including Slim’s Detailing, its online detailing chemicals and associated products website.

This has been achieved in accordance with PAS2060 and has been reached with the help of ECA Energy.

Morelli has previously implemented initiatives such as LED lighting and zone-controlled, on-off switching, 100% green electricity purchasing and introducing EV and hybrid vehicles to their fleet. Achieving carbon neutrality further demonstrates its commitment to sustainability within its own operations and the supply chain

Rob Cohen, financial director for Morelli said: “Our partnership with ECA on our energy consumption meant that as soon as they started working with our customers on carbon neutral project’s we started discussions about how we could start our journey towards PAS2060. There is much more that we can do but with the help of ECA we will continue to reduce our emissions and offset any outstanding emissions. This process has fundamentally changed the way we look at our business. We need to transform how we buy, move and sell our products to customers and change the future shape of our business.”

Steve Silverwood, managing director ECA Business Energy, said: “Morelli have always demonstrated their commitment to the environment throughout our 20 years working alongside them. By formalising this commitment, they will be actively reducing their emissions year on year as well as offsetting any outstanding emissions. We look forward to helping them on their ongoing environmental journey.”
