Grove Group names new sales boss

Grove Group has appointed Damon Curtis as head of strategic sales.

This is a new role and will allow Curtis to continue to forge greater collaboration between vehicle manufacturers, insurers and the wider accident repair sector.

Curtis, who has almost 40 years’ experience in the automotive repair market, will focus on the positioning of value-added products and services. This appointment will aid Grove Group to offer enhanced support to the accident repair market.

He began his new role on 15 September, joining from ACIS, and will carry out a complementary role to the already established and focused management team.

He said: “Grove Group is focussed on growth, not just in the way of sales, but in terms of looking to forge greater collaboration between all the partners in the accident repair market. The market continues to change and Grove Group understands what is required, not only in the way of day to day product supply and support but by developing and positioning technology. This an area where Grove Group is already a market leader, assisting bodyshops to help themselves to be more efficient and profitable.”

Tony Thorpe, group business development director, said: “Grove Group is continuously looking at ways to strengthen our business and proposition to the industry. Damon joining the business will certainly help us take another progressive step forward. We have a unique proposition to the industry and Damon will be instrumental in delivering what we offer. A fantastic appointment, welcome on board Damon.”
