Copart extends support for skills charity

Copart has extended its support to Open Road West Norfolk, a charity which provides training to young people interested in the automotive industry.

It is loaning vehicles to the charity upon which trainees, mainly aged between 13 and 18, can work on and gain practical, hands-on skills.

Copart has supported the charity since 2013, loaning it four vehicles each year.

Open Road West Norfolk centre manager, Robin Hansell, said: “Without the support of organisations such as Copart, we would be unable to provide this type of practical workshop-based training. Copart provides us with small, damaged repairable cars, which are no more than five years old, so that our students can train on the types of modern cars they are likely to work on in a real-life workplace.”
