TruckEast sets new pdi benchmark
TruckEast’s Stowmarket branch completed more pre-delivery inspections (pdi’s) last year than total vehicles sold across the group the year before.
The workshop team, comprising of 15 technicians, managed to carry out a massive 85% more pdi’s than they did in 2018.
A large part of the increase in pre-delivery inspections came from a Felixstowe-based customer, Maritime Transport Ltd. The privately-owned multi-modal specialist put 333 new Scania’s on the road in 2019, all of which were prepared and delivered through Stowmarket.
Matthew Castle, Stowmarket depot manager, said: “The team pulled out all the stops last year. And it’s not just about volume; we pride ourselves on the quality, accuracy and speed of our process. It’s important to us that our customers get their chosen vehicle ready for when they need it.”
