Homeowners could cash-in on CAZ

Homeowners living near proposed Clean Air Zones could make more than £1,000 a year by renting out their driveways.

Harrison Woods, managing director of YourParkingSpace.co.uk, said: “Rented driveway parking near Clean Air Zones, where cars will be affected, is a win-win situation. Homeowners could make an additional income and inner-city residents will breathe less harmful traffic fumes as more cars will be parked further away from the city or town centre, with commuters using public transport instead to continue their journeys.”

Birmingham will have one of the first Clean Air Zones in 2020, while other major cities where low emission zones are under discussion include Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Cambridge.
