Car buying confidence to return in 2020

Car buying is expected to spike this year after the uncertainty around Brexit was ended last month.

According to a survey of more than 3,000 motorists conducted by BuyaCar.co.uk, more than one is six motorists are prepared to step back into the market following the General Election.

A total of 15 per cent said that the end to Westminster’s political paralysis meant they are now more likely to go ahead with plans to change their car.

But the figure is as high as 24 per cent for those who are furthest into the process of investigating which specific car to choose.

The research was conducted on behalf of BuyaCar.co.uk by the car retail marketplace’s sister sites for consumer advice and news, Carbuyer and Auto Express.
