bodyshop magazine gears up for 2020 awards

bodyshop magazine has confirmed that its flagship awards event is on track and will now take place on 15 December at ICC Wales near the Celtic Manor Resort.

Now in its fourth decade, the collision repair industry’s favourite yearly get-together is bucking the trend of the many great British events that have pressed the pause button for 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Of course, the safety and well-being of delegates and awards recipients will be paramount on the agenda, which is why the bodyshop Awards 2020 have been moved to the tail end of the year when it is expected greater freedoms will mean the UK collision repair industry can regroup for a dazzling night of celebration, recognition and thanks.

Government-mandated social distancing and health and safety rules will still be observed in whatever form they are at that time, and the event is being restructured into a combined awards ceremony held during a networking drinks reception and three-course dinner over one Tuesday afternoon and evening in December.

The event will recognise and applaud bodyshop’s 30 under 30: rising stars – those young high-achievers who represent the future of collision repair – and shine a spotlight on the nominees and winners of the coveted bodyshop Awards 2020.

As further government announcements are made, more detailed information on the structure and content of the event will be shared on bodyshopmag.com and social media, together with updated information about the practical assessment dates to be conducted at Remit Group in September

Check back regularly because bodyshop will also soon be unveiling the identity of a fantastic celebrity host who will inject some pizzazz into the festivities.
