Volvo apprenticeship winners named
Two apprentices from Volvo’s body and paint programme were among the winners at the Volvo Car UK Apprenticeship graduation ceremony.
Jack Deakin from Marshall Melton Mowbray and Ben Martin of Rybrook Warrington were named winners of the year one and year two apprentice awards.
Rob Lineham said, ‘Jack has been constantly improving his skills in all elements of body repair and paint and produced some great results. His knowledge and confidence has also improved. He deserves this award because he puts in the extra effort with all that he does. He is confident but polite and willing to learn all that he can to improve himself as a technician and a person. A very well done from for your efforts so far.’
Jack’s manager Garry Button added, ‘Jack is a polite and well-liked member of the team, he’s happy to try any task given to him and picks things up really quickly.’
Meanwhile, speaking about Ben, Rob said, ‘Ben has been one of the most dedicated and driven apprentices that I have met in recent years and been a great example to other apprentices. When he joined his group he was a very quiet individual but has grown into a confident individual within his year group to be a key member. He has a thirst for knowledge and won’t rest until he gets tasks completed to the highest of standards even if it is out of his comfort zone.’
Ben’s manager Jeff O’Toole said, ‘Ben has been an excellent addition to the Rybrook team from day one. He is always eager to learn and improve, taking on challenging tasks and quickly improving his skills to meet his targets through the workshop and his apprenticeship evidence.’
