Quick Lane rally for charity

An all-female team from autocentre franchise Quick Lane Europe is taking part in this year’s Pavestone Rally to raise funds for charity.

The rally sees more than 40 teams travel across Europe in three days using road-legal vehicles under the value of £500. Dressed in fancy dress, the teams have to complete challenges along the way, all in aid of three well deserving charities, The Rainy Day Trust, Teenage Cancer Trust and Variety, The Children’s Charity.

Throughout the last three years the annual event has raised in excess of £325,000 with rally organisers hoping to raise £175,000 this year alone.

Representing Quick Lane in the event is Claire-Harrison Bradley, Leanne Villiers and Julia Cockwill, who are driving an aging 15-year-old Ford Galaxy across Europe, which received repairs worth more than £1,000 at Quick Lane Reading to prepare for the trip.

Claire Harrison-Bradley, marketing director at Quick Lane Europe, said, ‘Not only is the Pavestone Rally fantastic fun, but it is a great way to earn vital funds for three amazing charities. As with any long trip, it is essential that important servicing work is carried out on the vehicle to ensure it performs to the highest standard and Quick Lane Reading gave us peace of mind that the old Galaxy will not let us down. We’re enjoying taking part and contributing to these great causes.’
