The annual IMI Skills Competitions set out to identify the most talented new talent working in the automotive sector, and prepare them for these national finals, which identify the qualifying candidates who will compete in Team UK at WorldSkills International in Automotive Body Repair, Automotive Refinishing and Automotive Technology. The IMI also holds a separate Heavy Vehicle Technology competition which runs alongside the three WorldSkills events.
