Electrics dominate list of fastest selling used cars

Nine of the 10 fastest selling used cars in October were electric models, according to the latest CarGurus Monthly Sales Snapshot.

It found that the electric Cupra Born ranked first with a new buyer found in an average of just 22.8 days.

The Mercedes-Benz EQA followed the Cupra Born in second place, averaging 24 days to sell, while the Renault Zoe took third at 27 days. The Renault Arkana (28) and Skoda Enyaq (28.8) completed the top five.

Meanwhile, five new models entered October’s fastest-selling top 10, four of which were electric: the Cupra Born, Renault Zoe, Renault Arkana, Mercedes-Benz EQC and Nissan Leaf.

Chris Knapman, CarGurus UK editorial director, said: “October has brought some fresh faces to the fastest-selling rankings, but electric vehicles continue to dominate – evident with the Cupra Born taking the top spot and nine of the 10 models in the top ten being EVs.

“Meanwhile, sales increases in October 2026 versus 2025 across everything from the Vauxhall Zafira to the Hyundai IONIQ 5 to the Audi A4 highlight the diverse mix of options available on the used market, with buyer interest continuing to span a surprisingly broad mix of vehicles.”
