Used electric vans attracting more buyers
New data from Solera cap hpi has revealed that used electric vans are attracting a wider pool of buyers.
It said that as more used electric vans enter the market, customer confidence in reliability has been growing with sales increasing steadily over the last five years and remaining resilient through the summer.
It also reported a resurgence in the minibus sector after a period of falling sales and prices.
Ken Brown, LCV valuations editor at Solera Cap HPI, said: “We are seeing a clear change in the used BEV market. A few years ago, electric vans attracted a relatively small number of buyers who were effectively dipping their toe in the water. That buyer base is now much broader with greater confidence in the market.”
He continued: “The strength of the market through the summer has been encouraging. August would normally be expected to quieten as people head away on holiday, but auction activity remained busy, and retailers continued to buy stock.”
