Driver insights solution cuts collision risk by 22%
A new driver insights solution has reduced collision risk by 22% and achieved a 411% return on investment.
Geotab Vitality is a connected solution that provides every fleet driver with a personal scorecard based on key risk factors like speeding, harsh braking, harsh accelerating, and cornering.
Drivers are then given bronze, silver, gold, and platinum ranks, with rewards for better driving encouraging safer behaviours behind the wheel.
The solution was adopted by Richfords Fire & Flood during a two-month trial last October and then rolled out across its entire fleet of 53 vehicles earlier this year.
It has since recorded a 73% reduction in harsh cornering, a 61% in speeding, a 55% fall in harsh braking and 48% decrease in harsh acceleration.
