TPS Ipswich enhances service with second site
Volkswagen Group approved genuine parts supplier TPS Ipswich has enhanced its service to independent repairers by opening a new site in Colchester.
The 12,897 sqft facility, which will be supported by a fleet of four delivery vans, has created eight new jobs including six van drivers and two warehouse staff.
Customers will continue to order through TPS Ipswich to secure daily deliveries to Colchester, Clacton-on-Sea, East Mersea, Frinton-on-Sea, Halstead, Harwich, Manningtree, Walton-on-the-Naze and Wivenhoe, as well as a small portion of south Suffolk, covering towns such as Bures and Sudbury.
The news comes after TPS Ipswich moved to a new 13,000 sqft site late last year to meet demand with six daily deliveries.
Fantastic boost
Malcolm Park, TPS Ipswich centre manager, said: “The opening of the new Colchester site is a fantastic boost to garages in the region as we’re closer to customers and can support them more locally.
“The customers in the Colchester area will also still deal with their regular contact at Ipswich, so that familiarity remains in place for garages when making their parts orders.
“We stock 3000 plus product lines at the new site, which means we can give an on-demand delivery service to more customers providing them with the parts they need, when they need them.”
