EcoVadis awards Mirka sustainability bronze
Mirka has completed the EcoVadis sustainability assessment for the third consecutive year.
EcoVadis is a globally recognised sustainability assessment platform specialising in evaluating sustainability performance.
It covers four key areas: environment; labour and human rights; ethics; and sustainable procurement.
Mirka achieved a score of 67/100, placing it among the top 27% of all companies assessed globally and earning a Bronze medal.
The score is also up on its previous assessment, recognising Mirka’s continued focus on advanced management systems relating to environmental issues, labour and human rights.
The company said: “The EcoVadis assessment provides an external review of Mirka’s sustainability work and gives customers and partners a trustworthy and transparent view of the company’s current performance. Having the review carried out by an independent third party also makes it easier to share information with customers and partners that request sustainability data or assessments.
“In addition to its own assessment, Mirka uses EcoVadis to assess and monitor sustainability performance within its own upstream supply chain.”
