Record-breaking night at Fix Auto UK NEXUS conference
Fix Auto West Kensington was crowned Fix Auto UK’s Bodyshop of the Year as the organisation’s highly anticipated NEXUS-themed 2026 National Conference at The Vox in Birmingham drew to a close tonight (28 May).
Presented in front of a record number of sponsors, delegates, insurer guests and suppliers, the London-based business celebrated in style as owner Hemal Amin, accompanied by his son Aman and bodyshop manager Dhaval Amin, stepped on stage to receive the group’s blue riband prize from Lee Roan, representing presenting partner 3M and Fix Auto UK’s operations director Mark Hutchins.
Fix Auto UK NEXUS conference
Some 34 awards were presented during the course of the Fix Auto UK NEXUS conference hosted by Irish comedian Dara Ó Briain which was the culmination of a two-day event that included an expo and conference programme.
For the second year running, Fix Auto Durham was named as the Allianz Insurance Bodyshop of the Year while Fix Auto Maidenhead won the Admiral Bodyshop of the Year award. Fix Auto Petersfield picked up the Admiral Customer Journey Award for its outstanding level of customer service.
Fix Auto Loughborough owner Paul Smith and Bodyshop Manager Terry McCarthy stepped on stage to receive the Arval Bodyshop of the Year prize meanwhile it was Fix Auto Sittingbourne who received the AX Bodyshop of the Year trophy. Fix Auto Stevenage, Fix Auto Skegness and Fix Auto Wigan were awarded the Motor Assist Bodyshop of the Year, Covéa Customer Service Award and Intact Bodyshop of the Year trophy respectively, and Fix Auto Darlington and Fix Auto Matlock were named by Zenith and Direct Line as their respective Bodyshops of the Year.
Yan Masterman and Dominic Burns, who brought Fix Auto Sheffield into the group in July last year, were celebrated as Newcomer of the Year and Fix Auto Buckingham received the Fix Auto UK Environmental Excellence Award.
Employee of the Year
Head of finance Puri Odedra was named as Fix Auto UK’s Employee of the Year while the Nigel Luffman Award Apprentice of the Year prize went to Ashleigh Stone-Golding of Fix Auto Wrexham and the inaugural Nigel Luffman Award (Apprentice of the Year) Customer Champions award went to Aria McTaggart of Fix Auto Ayr.
Fix Auto Petersfield received their 20th Anniversary plaque to celebrate being with the group for two decades and Fix Auto Redcar, Fix Auto Chelmsford, Fix Auto Bournemouth, Fix Auto Kings Norton, Fix Auto Hoddesdon, Fix Auto Aberdeen, Fix Auto Elgin and Fix Auto Inverness each received their 10th anniversary awards.
The biggest cheer of the evening, however, was held for regional business manager Carl Norton who received the network’s Special Recognition Award for his drive and commitment to training mental health first aiders and his support for the If You Care Share charity which supports families left devasted by suicide.
