Swansway Motor Group to open new Stafford bodyshop

Family owned Cheshire-based Swansway Motor Group is opening a smart new bodyshop alongside its JLR dealership in Stafford in early May.

The site, which opens with three spraybooths and four full-time staff on 5 May, will initially handle non-structural work for the Land Rover dealership and the group’s Stafford Audi operation.

Mark Trevers, group bodyshop manager for Swansway, said: “ We will also explore retail potential in the area to get maximum use out of the site. We have two fully downdraft Rowley booths and a side extract panel booth where we’re going to be doing wheels, trims, bumpers, and so on. We do a lot of wheels throughout the group.”

The new Stafford workshop is one of six bodyshops sites within Swansway, including Crewe – where structural repairs are carried out – Bolton, Oldham, Chester and Carlisle.

Trevers, who oversees the repair work at all of the sites, added: “We’ve also just got the plans this week for one more at Preston Audi and we’re going to have another one at our Blackburn Audi site.”

Swansway Motor Group, which was founded in 2003, operates more than 20 dealerships across the Northwest, Midlands, and Wales. It represents major brands such as Audi, Volkswagen, and JLR, and manages the Motor Match used-car division.
