LinkedIn Live to showcase ‘real routes into automotive’
Apprenticeship Central will showcase the benefits of automotive apprenticeships during a live session on LinkedIn this week.
It is partnering with Michael Massey and the Institute of the Motor Industry to host LinkedIn Live from 12:00-12:30 on Thursday.
This session is for employers, parents, careers advisers and potential apprentices who want clearer, more confident conversations about careers in automotive.
It will address:
- The real routes into automotive
- Progression from entry level through to leadership
- Why automotive isn’t just ‘on the tools’
- How employers can play a bigger role in shaping informed career decisions
The session will also share a real apprentice journey that shows what is possible when the right support is in place.
Held to mark National Apprenticeship Week, LinkedIn Live will be followed on Friday by Apprenticeship Central’s week YouTube video which will look at the challenges of recruiting and retaining Gen Z apprentices.
National Apprenticeship Week
The company said: “At Apprenticeship Central, we advocate for apprentices all year round, but National Apprenticeship Week allows us to shine a light on the people, stories and day-to-day support that make apprenticeships work in practice.
“We keep hearing the same questions about careers in automotive so Apprenticeship Central and the IMI have teamed up to build something practical. We’ll also share what’s possible when the right support is in place, and chat to Michael Massey about his inspirational journey.”
