Alex Wright marks 15 years leading SVA
Shoreham Vehicle Auctions is celebrating the 15th anniversary under the leadership of managing director Alex Wright.
Since acquiring the business he has transformed SVA from a local auction selling a few cars to local buyers to one attracting blue chip national vendors and buyers from across the South East of England.
Vehicle sales have increased from 6,500 in 2010 to more than 20,000 last year, while also becoming the first auction to be awarded Electric Vehicle Approved status by NAMA in 2023 to celebrate its commitment to environmental initiatives.
Wright said: “The auction industry and our Shoreham site have both changed dramatically since I bought the business in 2010, but our main focus of providing long term value to our buyer and seller customers remains the same.
“The first five years saw us build a first-class team and a strong reputation which helped attract national as well as local vendors and our first-class customer service helped attract hundreds of buyers.
“The next five years saw us commit major investment to the site while our sales doubled year on year. And then over the past five years Covid and then the continued growth of used EVs has played a big part in shaping our industry on the back of our own investment in green energy and environmental accreditation.”
