Bodyshop Magazine has announced the celebrity host for this year’s Bodyshop Awards and 30 Under 30 celebrations will be Paul Zenon – a performer who has been at the heart of the entertainment industry for more than four decades.
Zenon has performed in around 40 countries and brings to this year’s Bodyshop Awards and 30 Under 30 a unique mix of magic, comedy and storytelling. His career spans hundreds of network television appearances as a performer and comedian, presenter, actor and expert.
Paul Zenon to host Bodyshop Awards 2025
A true pioneer of Street Magic, Zenon fronted four one-hour Channel 4 and ITV specials that helped define the genre — inspiring the likes of Derren Brown and Dynamo, who have both cited him as an influence. Alongside numerous TV guest spots, he became a familiar face on Countdown, appearing around 150 times over 15 years in Dictionary Corner, and more recently featured as both expert and actor in the BBC documentary History’s Greatest Mysteries – Houdini’s Lost Diaries.
Zenon’s work has earned him multiple awards in both magic and comedy, as well as success as a best-selling author with titles including 100 Ways to Win a Tenner, Paul Zenon’s Dirty Tricks, and Street Magic. Beyond the stage and screen, he has long been associated with the Olivier Award-winning cabaret circus La Clique, where he is ringmaster and performer, and has contributed as a consultant on productions such as Bess – the Other Houdini. He is also a founding fellow of Blackpool’s Showtown Museum, curating its magic and variety exhibits and leading its launch in 2024.
Innovation and showmanship
As an actor, Zenon has taken on roles with the Brighton Shakespeare Company, appeared in the cult feature film Powertool Cheerleaders vs the Boyband of the Screeching Dead, and lit up the stage in pantomime, most recently breaking box office records as Abanazar in Aladdin at Windsor’s Theatre Royal. In 2025, he was special guest in The Cromer Pier Show — the last surviving end-of-the-pier variety show in the world.
With a career that blends innovation, versatility and showmanship, Zenon remains one of the UK’s most original entertainers, equally at home astonishing audiences with magic, making them laugh, or bringing history and theatre to life.
On the second day of the two-day Bodyshop Awards & Expo (20-21 October) at The Belfry Hotel & Resort, Zenon will add another string to his bow as host of Bodyshop Magazine’s 29th Awards event and ninth 30 Under 30 celebration with the UK accident repair sector.
