Cars of Grimsby secures funding boost

Cars of Grimsby is expanding into a new site after securing an £875,000 funding boost from NatWest.

The family-run operation, which serves customers in Grimsby, Cleethorpes and north Lincolnshire, will move into a new, larger site to support its continued growth and enhance its training capabilities.

The company is also planning to boost its 14-strong team with two new appointments.

Founded in 2012 and now operated by married couple Lisa and Jason Barker, Cars of Grimsby has manufacturer approvals from the likes of Volkswagen, Skoda and Seat. It aims to increase its portfolio following the move.

Significant milestone

Managing director Jason Barker said: “Securing this funding from NatWest is a significant milestone for our business and the process was made so simple by their expertise in the field. Lisa and I have dedicated ourselves to building a business that not only provides top-quality service but also creates a legacy for our family.

“The new space will enable us to expand our services, our partner affiliations and create a launching pad for even more growth for our family and community.”

Colin Stonehouse, relationship manager at NatWest, added: “Cars of Grimsby is a fantastic example of a family-run business that combines growth with a strong commitment to community and sustainability. We are proud to support their expansion with this funding package and look forward to witnessing the next steps Jason and Lisa take.”
