Marshall Motor Group acquires SEAT & CUPRA Reading
Marshall Motor Group has announced the acquisition of SEAT & CUPRA Reading from Citygate Automotive.
The deal further strengthens Marshall’s representation of the SEAT & CUPRA brands and enhances its strong presence in the Thames Valley region.
The acquisition includes the full transfer of sales and aftersales operations at the Reading store, which is located in a key retail territory for both brands.
Gary Savage, CEO at Constellation Retail, said: “This acquisition is another step in our strategy to grow scale with existing brand partners in new geographic territories.
“We are delighted to represent SEAT and CUPRA in Reading. I am pleased to welcome our new colleagues to Marshall and look forward to building on the strong foundations already in place.”
Acquisition
The news comes after it was announced that Citygate Automotive had acquired the St Albans Volkswagen dealership from Marshall.
A Citygate statement said:
“We’re proud to announce that Citygate has officially taken ownership of the Volkswagen retailer in St Albans. This marks a significant step in our growth, bringing us closer to our customers in the area and opening up new opportunities across the group.”
