AI solution launched to reduce driver risk

Road safety experts Greater Than has unveiled a new solution to help organisations understand and reduce driver risk.

The launch comes after new research revealed that there are 1.2 million road fatalities globally every year, with a third of these directly or indirectly attributed to private sector activity.

Powered by AI, its Crash Probability Hub collates its range of tools and features in one place to make it easier for companies to assess, manage and minimise risk on the road.

Developed for mobility and transportation organisations, the Hub introduces a range of new features designed to enhance driver safety.

Enhanced tools

With a focus on the most at-risk drivers with a view to reducing claims and incidents, the new features include:

  • AI-driven intelligence to visualise and benchmark risk across portfolio, fleet, driver, vehicle and trip levels
  • Driver risk factor – how much higher or lower risk the driver has compared to the fleet or globally
  • Deeper insights into contributory factors to risk level
  • Detailed driver risk exposure overview over customisable timeframes
  • Integrated ‘actions’ feature – previously in a separate tool – making it easier to act on the five per cent highest risk drivers to potentially reduce major claims by up to 20%.

Anders Lindelöf, co-founder and chief technology officer at Greater Than, said: “Our team consistently pushes the boundaries when it comes to AI capabilities and product development, to meet the evolving needs of our customers and the wider industry.

“With the new Crash Probability Hub, it’s easier than ever to manage and action risk all in one place. This is a new era for road safety.”
