Engineers and scientists from 17 organisations – including McLaren F1, Bayer, Airbus, the NHS and Haleon – will be joined by more than 400 students for the first-ever Brooklands Innovation Academy held at the iconic Brooklands Museum, the home of British motorsport and aviation. Part of Professor Brian Cox CBE and Lord Andrew Mawson OBE’s National Science Summer School programme, the all-day event will celebrate innovation, human endeavour and entrepreneurialism and inspire students to become the next generation of scientists and engineers. More than 20 engineers and scientists will host 21 different workshops with a STEM focus, alongside speakers like World Land Speed Record holder Andy Green OBE and Kirsty Murphy MBE, the first female Red Arrow pilot. The activities will be very hands-on and engaging, with many fantastic interview and photo opportunities.
