Bangers4Ben sale raises £16k

The annual Bangers4Ben sale has raised more than £16,000 for the charity.

The 2021 Bangers4Ben Rally took place over the course of four days in October with an 890-mile ‘Best of British’ route travelling through England and Wales.

The Bangers4Ben sale saw 16 cars from the Rally sold through BCA’s online auction.

Hundreds of buyers participated in the event, with the top seller on the day being a 56-registered BMW 630i Sport in black with gold detailing which realised £1,500.

Stuart Pearson, BCA COO UK, said: “We were delighted to stage this first ever exclusively online Bangers4Ben sale at BCA with a great selection of vehicles that had participated in the 2021 Bangers4Ben Rally on offer.

“Our customers dug deep once again to contribute to a total exceeding £16,000 on the day and there was plenty of banter with our auctioneers about some of the extra ‘special features’ that the cars had to offer.”

He added: “Ben is the UK’s only dedicated charity which provides health & wellbeing support for those who work, or have worked, in the automotive industry and their family dependents and we are proud to help support this very worthy cause.”
