Plunky’s All Stars charity games top £100k

The Plunky’s All Stars football matches have raised more than £100,000 for charity since they were first introduced by Steve Plunket more than a decade ago.

The final game will be played on 28 June at the Football Development Centre in Norwich.

It is raising funds for three worthy charities, Norfolk and Waveney MIND , East Anglian Air Ambulance , and the Fire Fighters Charity, after local firefighter Carl Mills took his own life in 2022.

Plunkett said: “It was an easy decision to do this year’s game in honour and memory of Carl, to remember him but also to thank the three charities that supported him and his family when they needed them the most. We have a massive target as we set to raise a record amount from one match (£25,000), to beat what we raised last year.

“We are all keen to go out with a bang, so any donations, support and sponsorship from any individual or business will be greatly appreciated indeed. I still have various items that can be sponsored for the big night and we are also looking for auction and raffle prizes, too. A massive shout out to Mick Jennings and the team at Nationwide Vehicle Assistance for as always digging deep and supporting Plunkys All Stars. I am delighted to have them as our pitch sponsor for 2024.”
