Ben launches new virtual challenge

Automotive industry charity Ben has launched a new virtual challenge to raise vital funds for those struggling or in crisis.

Benathlon will take place from 10-24 March, when colleagues will be invited to complete 1,283 miles in any way they choose, whether that’s running, cycling, swimming or skipping.

Participants can take on the challenge alone or in teams of four, with the only requirement being to raise at least £75 per person.

Progress along a virtual route that starts and finishes at the Ben headquarters near Ascot will be displayed online, with virtual medals and titles will be awarded for various achievements.

Matt Wigginton, director of partnerships, engagement and income, said: “We are very excited to be launching our new virtual challenge event series, Benathlon. In the current economic climate, Ben needs the automotive industry’s backing now more than ever so that we can continue to support those who are struggling or in crisis. Many people are looking to improve their fitness and achieve something great at this time of year so now is the perfect time to challenge yourself, challenge your colleagues and support our automotive industry family.”
