Cars Direct launches redesigned website

Cars Direct an online vehicle auction, has redesigned its website to make it easier for professional trade buyers to view stock and bid from mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones.

The new website also features new graphics to make navigation more intuitive; a search function to find specific cars by make and mileage; and a ‘my auction’ function so that buyers can pre-select vehicles that catch their eye from Cars Direct’s stock of vehicles available.

Andy Brown, managing director of Cars Direct, said, ‘The new website (www.cdauctiongroup.com) is fully responsive and has been specifically designed to display stock equally clearly across desktop, tablet and smartphone. It means our trade buyers will be able to view, select and bid, anytime, anywhere.

‘Our smartphone and tablet functionality is particularly strong and, we believe, the best in the market. It allows buyers to quickly search and find the cars that they want, check condition reports and high-quality photos, and then either watch or bid.’

Cars Direct has not changed its robust, well-trusted and genuine online bidding platform.

This allows approved buyers to place bids at any time of the day or night and then get on with the rest of their lives. The unique Cars Direct ‘robobid’ system will automatically bid up to a maximum amount entered and keep the buyer informed of the sale progress.

‘You don’t have to sit around waiting for a vehicle you’re interested in to come ‘on sale’; all the lots are available for bidding up until the auction closes,’ explained Andy.

‘This is a significant difference between our genuine online auction and the pseudo-online systems that are simply web-feeds of a physical sale.’

The launch of the new Cars Direct website is part of a major investment in the business to meet increased demand. The company has recently increased its storage capacity to handle more vehicles and appointed a new business development coordinator to ensure trade buyers continue to get high levels of personal service.
