Yorkshire business finds success at end of ‘Extra Mile’

The Motor Ombudsman has announced that Simon Graeme Auto Service Centre in North Yorkshire has won the inaugural ‘Extra Mile’ customer service trophy at this year’s Servicesure ‘Autocentre of the Year’ awards.

The annual prizegiving ceremony, which took place at the Coombe Abbey Hotel in Warwickshire, showcases examples of excellence within the group’s nationwide network of independent garages.

Simon Graeme Auto Service Centre was selected for the accolade based on its award submission and positive customer ratings and reviews on its Motor Ombudsman Garage Finder profile page.

Presenting the award, Bill Fennell, chief ombudsman and managing director of The Motor Ombudsman, said, ‘We would like to congratulate Simon Graeme Auto Service Centre on their fantastic achievement, and we are very proud of their long association with our Code of Practice.

‘When reviewing the numerous entries to the ‘Extra Mile’ category, they clearly stood out as an organisation that goes above and beyond to ensure a happy and repeat customer, and were therefore rightly commended for this exemplary approach.’

Simon Graeme added, ‘We are delighted to be the first winner of the ‘Extra Mile’ award. It is testimony to our long-established philosophy of always putting the customer first, and the hard work of the whole team day in, day out. We look forward to showing off the trophy at our premises to remind our customers, and staff alike, of the great lengths that we go to, and the clear rewards that this brings.’
