Four new dealers join SsangYong

SsangYong has announced the appointment of four new dealers, and Justin Lamba as the new dealer recruitment manager.

A further four new dealers have joined the SsangYong networking, including: Broach Hill Garage, Driffield; Esplanade, Isle of Wight; Fun Motors, Lower Darwen; and Unity, Tredington.

‘The arrival of Rexton and Musso has resulted in significant levels of interest in our franchise from prospective dealers,’ said Nick Laird, managing director of SsangYong Motor UK. ‘The huge improvement in the perception of our vehicles especially as expressed by the media, means we are engaging with new dealer partners who particularly appreciate our straightforward business model and focus on dealer profitability.’

Meanwhile, Justin moves to support David Rose with dealer franchising. He was formerly the brand’s dealer commercial manager for South East England, and has previous sales, business development and customer support experience from several automotive brands including DaimlerChrysler, Daihatsu and Mondial Assistance.

David Rose, head of franchising for the brand, said, ‘I’m delighted Justin has joined the franchising team. After a year of consolidating the business, we are strengthening the management team to manage future growth which will come from increased vehicle sales, especially the new Musso pick-up, parts sales and an expanding dealer network.’
