Apprentices – time for action

bodyshop magazine is calling for apprentices to take action ahead of the 6 June deadline to be in with chance of being crowned one of the UK’s top apprentice paint, panel or MET technicians.

As part of the bodyshop Event and Awards programme, Thatcham Research has once again backed the Apprentice Technician of the Year Awards which this year sees the addition of the MET category.

Apprentices from across the country are being encouraged to enter the competition to not only test their skills against industry peers but to also benchmark themselves for future personal development – benefitting both individual and employer alike.

Following registration, apprentices will be sent a unique link which requires completion of an online, 30 question/30 minute, multiple choice questionnaire by 6 June. The top six scoring apprentices in each category – paint, panel and MET – will then be required to attend a practical assessment at Thatcham Research on 13-14 June.

From this, finalists will be announced and invited to attend the bodyshop Awards on 27-28 September, where the overall winners will be announced.

To register please email by return your name, email, company and contact number along with which category you wish to enter to [email protected].
