Claims volumes close on 2019 levels

Motor claims volumes in June were at 93% compared to the same month in 2019.
Based on data from Audatex, Trend Tracker has reported the more than 137,000 repairs in the month is a big leap up from May, when repair volumes were only at 73%.
Paul Sell, associate director of Industry Insights, new owners of Trend Tracker, said: “The big news today from a repair volumes perspective is that June finished with over 130k repairs, coming in at 93% of June 2019.”
However, he said it was difficult to predict if these volumes are here to stay.
He said: “With traffic patterns being different it was hard to accurately forecast and 93% of June 2019 was at optimistic levels. Could June be the start of the bounce-back the industry needs, a summer spike or the start of the new normal?”
