Car sales service launched in Scotland

The Peter Vardy Group has launched a new initiative to help people sell their cars privately.

Its new service, GoodByeCar, enables owners to simply the sales transaction by completing most of the process online.

Owners log on to the GoodByeCar website and apply for a quote. A team member will then review the car at the customer’s home or another convenience location, and once a deal is agreed the car is either collected or delivered to a Peter Vardy outlet.

Derek Lyon, remarketing director at the Peter Vardy Group said: “Trying to sell a car privately can be a long and stressful situation with a number of potential pitfalls. GoodByeCar will offer a valuation quote which is guaranteed for seven days, removing the hassle, and making the transaction as straightforward as possible.”

The appraisal service is currently available at Peter Vardy locations in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Lanarkshire, and Glasgow and will soon be available in Ayr, Stirling and Inverness as the service is rolled out.
