Relocation for Fix Auto Leeds

Fix Auto Fix & Go Leeds is relocating the bodyshop to increase its repair capacity in the city.

Managing director Sam Smith explained that they developed the Fix & Go Leeds site alongside their two repair centres – Fix Auto Bradford and Fix Auto Keighley, but the operation has outgrown its existing single spraybooth 8,500 sqft site. As a result, Fix Auto Leeds will move into a 13,000 sqft centre.

The new site, which will be able to repair heavy structurally damaged vehicles alongside the express repairs the previous Leeds centre serviced, will be equipped with two spraybooths to ensure repair capacity is upped to 160 vehicles a month. Additional staff have already been employed to facilitate the new premises.

Sam said, ‘Moving into Leeds was always an experiment for us. We just wanted to dip our toe in the city’s water and see how things progressed. The move has been a huge success. We’re now in a position where we want to futureproof that business alongside our existing sites in Keighley and Bradford. This means ensuring we have the capacity to match our other sites and swiftly repair whatever vehicles come our way.’

When the move is completed in January, it will take the Smiths’ overall repair capacity to in excess of 430 vehicles a month with a collective workspace of more than 50,000 sq ft spanning the three centres.
