Kia appoints new PR member

Kia Motors (UK) Ltd has announced a new addition to the press and PR team, Rebecca Gibbs, who joins from Loughborough University where she is studying for a degree in communication and media studies. 

Becky – as she likes to be known – will be taking over from Chloe Farmer, the current intern, who has been with Kia since July 2017, as press office assistant. Chloe will remain at Kia until 31 July before returning to Bath Spa University to complete the final year of her business and management degree. 

Becky, 22, has been studying communication and media for the past two-years and is extremely excited to get stuck into the world of Kia. Commenting on her appointment, Becky said, ‘I am absolutely delighted and honoured to be a part of such an amazing press and public relations team at Kia. I am looking forward to learning more about the motoring industry as well as gaining invaluable knowledge and skills whilst interning at Kia’. 

Becky’s key responsibilities will include writing press releases, running PR projects and dealing with media enquiries. She will be assisting Sara Robinson, senior press officer for Kia, throughout the year in corporate and dealer PR.
