Chris Mann, Plenham’s esteemed co-founder, is celebrating his 70th birthday today.
Infamous for bow-tie clad appearance, Chris, along with business partner David Young launched bodyshop magazine back in September 1987. Over the years, Chris – who had a passion for editorial – became a highly respected industry figure by bringing deep rooted issues to the fore and encouraging industry-wide debate for the benefit of all stakeholders.
Articulate, entrepreneurial and passionate Chris also co-founded IBIS – Plenham’s highly successful international platform.
Mark Hadaway, editor of bodyshop magazine, said, ‘It’s fair to say that for some of us longer serving members of the Plenham team, Chris has been a true inspiration and I, for one, am incredibly fortunate to have learned from him and been part of his vision for the industry.’
Although in recent years Chris has stepped away from the day to day operation of Plenham, many within the industry will, I am sure, join the Plenham team in wishing him a very happy 70th birthday.
