AkzoNobel is a proud sponsor of this year’s bodyshop Event & Awards. Here, we speak to Frank Delaney, manager strategic accounts, AkzoNobel, who shares the positives he feels the Event brings.

 

What are you most looking forward to about the bodyshop Event & Awards?

It’s always great to get people from across the industry – insurers, work providers and vehicle manufacturers – together to network, share ideas and enjoy some downtime. Ultimately, we’re all looking to achieve the same thing and getting together at events like this can help us all provide a better service to our customers.

How has the Event & Awards benefited you in previous years?

We’ve come away from some great seminar sessions with useful insights, cemented some brilliant working relationships, and initiated some exciting new business relationships.

What experience does the Event provide?

Well first and foremost, it’s educational. It gets a wide range of people from across the industry in the same place, we debate topical issues and challenges and look to find solutions, which means everyone leaves better informed. This always makes me feel positive about the work that we do and encouraged that there’s so many people with the industry’s best interests at heart. And importantly, it’s good fun. It’s always enjoyable catching up with old friends and making new ones.

Would it be possible to receive a teaser or hint as to what your stand will be? 

We’ll have a McLaren LHD Ice Silver 570S Spider, which is a definite must see. It’s a really exciting example of how our Sikkens special effect colours enable vibrant, eye-catching finishes. As well as that, you’ll be able to fill your pockets with jelly beans so don’t miss out – look forward to seeing you there.
