bodyshop Awards 2022 – T&Cs

  • Nominations for the bodyshop Awards 2022 and 30 under 30: Rising Stars 2022 opened on 4 March 2022 and closed on 31 May 2022, apart from entries in the Environmental Trailblazer Award which closed on 30 June 2022.
  • The bodyshop Awards 2022 and 30 under 30: Rising Stars 2022 are free to enter.
  • The bodyshop Awards 2022, 30 under 30: Rising Stars and bodyshop Expo are part of this year’s bodyshop LIVE! event which will take place at ICC Wales on 12 October 2022
  • Entries for the bodyshop Awards 2022 and 30 under 30: Rising Stars 2022 must describe in detail individual / business / work / training methods and successes completed during the period 1 January 2021-31 May 2022.
  • Nominations for the bodyshop Awards 2022 can be submitted in multiple relevant categories, including:
    1. Bodyshop Manager of the Year
    2. Restoration Bodyshop of the Year
    3. Single-site Bodyshop of the Year
    4. Multi-Site Bodyshop of the Year
    5. Bodyshop Group of the Year
    6. Technical Training Provider of the Year
    7. Environmental Trailblazer Award
    8. Insurer of the Year*
    9. New Technology Award
    10. Supply Chain Partner of the Year
    11. Advanced Technologies Technician of the Year
    12. Apprentice Paint Technician of the Year
    13. Apprentice Panel Technician of the Year
    14. Paint Technician of the Year
    15. Panel Technician of the Year
    16. VDA of the Year
    17. Vehicle Manufacturer of the Year
  • Nominations must be submitted using the online forms made available on the website and completed using the official category entry forms which are emailed to the nominator and/or nominee after the initial online submission is received.
  • Any entries submitted by WeTransfer, Dropbox or any other method not mentioned above are ineligible and will be disqualified without further notice.
  • By entering the bodyshop Awards 2022 or 30 under 30: Rising Stars 2022, you consent to being contacted and your data being held and used for the purposes of awards assessment, communication and promotion.
  • Following preliminary assessments, up to five finalists will be selected in the bodyshop Awards categories. These finalists will then be further assessed to determine a winner by an independent judging panel featuring 12 representatives from across the UK collision repair industry, plus three from bodyshop magazine. The bodyshop magazine representatives have no voting rights on the judging panel.
  • The judging panel for the bodyshop Awards 2022 will convene on 7 September 2022.
  • Decisions by the judging panel are final and no further correspondence will be entered into.
  • Entrants into the bodyshop Awards 2022 practical categories – for technicians, apprentices and vehicle damage assessors – are required to complete an online assessment. To advance to the practical testing round of the competition for paint and panel entries (to be held in August/September 2022), participants must achieve a minimum score set by the judges and up to four contestants move forward to the next round in the technician and apprentice categories, and up to 12 advance in the VDA competition.
  • All bodyshop Awards 2022 finalists and the winners of the 30 under 30: Rising Stars 2022 will be recognised and celebrated during bodyshop LIVE 2022 at ICC Wales on 12 October 2022.
  • The winner in each bodyshop Awards 2022 category and all 30 under 30: Rising Stars 2022 awards recipients will receive a unique trophy.

*Online repairer vote:

  • The online repairer vote is the only way to register a vote for the bodyshop Insurer of the Year award.
  • One vote per email/IP address will be recorded. All votes will be checked and verified as coming from the UK bodyshop community.
  • bodyshop will announce the winner of this category during the bodyshop Awards 2022 on 12 October at the ICC Wales.
  • Insurer of the Year voting opens at midnight on Thursday, 8 September 2022 and closes at midnight on Thursday, 15 September. Any votes registered outside of these dates/times will not be counted.
  • bodyshop (Plenham Ltd) employees are not eligible to vote.
