Valeo and customers turn to driving on the green

Monday, 23 July 2012

Valeo, the automotive component supplier for the independent aftermarket, has hosted its sixth annual aftermarket golf tournament for customers in Newport, South Wales.

Valeo and customers turn to driving on the green

This year’s event saw customers from PA (Parts Alliance), Motorserv, GSF Car Parts, Camberley Auto Factors, Intertruck, Motex, Pentland Components, BMS Superfactors, Autoparts Diagnostics, Car Spares and EK Motor Factors, seal a narrow triumph over the Valeo team, with an overall score of 9.5 to 8.5. The two-day competition saw the teams tee off at the prestigious Celtic Manor, which staged the Ryder Cup in 2010.

Matt Robinson, managing director of Valeo Service UK, commented: ‘The customer team really came out swinging at the beginning of the competition, putting us through our paces and leading at the end of the first day with a score of four to two. Their golfing prowess continued on the second day, with the team eventually emerging victorious to claim the glory of being crowned the Valeo Cup winners.

‘We would like to extend our congratulations to all the customers who took part, and we will be sure to put in plenty of practice before next year’s tournament. We are determined the trophy will return to Valeo next year!’

Valeo is the leading supplier of original equipment parts to the UK aftermarket, with an extensive portfolio of products including clutches, braking systems, thermal systems, lighting systems, wiping systems, electrical systems, air quality systems and security systems.
