U-Pol wins industry marketing award

U-Pol received the Marketing Campaign of the Year Award during the recent 2019 British Coatings Federation (BCF) Awards.

The UK’s leading provider of fillers and coatings had cause to celebrate when it was presented with the accolade during the 10th annual event, this year held at the Radisson Blu Hotel near Derby.

The prize is the culmination of a three-year transformation programme where the Northamptonshire-based operation has overhauled its corporate branding to establish a fresh and clear identity. Integral to the process has been the introduction of simplified packaging designed to ensure all users and distributors chose the right product for the right job, a streamlined product line up, the introduction of a vast portfolio of marketing material and point of sale collateral to support specific products and the creation of a digital marketing platform.

U-Pol CCO Mike Pentecost, said: “When we were handed the reins for U-Pol in 2016 it instantly became apparent there had been a lack of investment in branding which meant there was little or no clear communication for end users, a confused portfolio of products and a very limited digital presence.

“The team have worked tirelessly and we have invested significantly to address those issues and more.

“While our work is clearly being recognised by our customers, receiving recognition with the Marketing Campaign of the Year award from the industry is especially pleasing and rounds off what has been a challenging, but wonderful, year,” he added.
