Allianz announces fleet investment

Allianz Worldwide Partners UK has invested in its fleet of multi brand roadside assistance vehicles with the addition of over 80 new Ford Transit Custom vehicles.

The 3.4T chassis gives the fleet greater capacity, combined with increased internal space in the working area, enhancing the technicians’ ability to meet the demands required to deliver a quality roadside assistance service.

The overriding benefit of improved storage capabilities is that vehicles can be equipped with a greater quantity of manufacturer parts, which in turn, will enhance the number of ‘first time repairs’ carried out by vehicle technicians.   In addition, a special area has been designed for the storage of up to 4 spare wheels, an improvement that specifically addresses the move by manufacturers to provide a tyre repair kit instead of a temporary replacement tyre.

Furthermore, the battery drawer has been redesigned and wider drawers provide more tool storage, as well as integrating work top capacity for greater convenience.  The added benefit of improved lighting will support technicians better when working in the hours of darkness.

Tony Hodges, technical operations manager for Allianz Worldwide Partners UK, said, ‘With more room for tools and storage, as well as vital workspace and a dedicated area for spare wheels, our technicians are better equipped than ever. This fleet investment is part of our commitment to ensuring we deliver the right support at the roadside, meeting the changing demands of motorists and in turn, building customer loyalty for manufacturers.’
