Xpress expands its network

Xpress Centres, which specialises in the same-day repair of non-structural vehicle damage from bodyshops located at Tesco Extra stores, has opened the doors of its Mansfield branch, expanding its national network to 20 centres.

Craig O’Shaughnessy, Xpress Centres managing director said, ‘Over the past few years we have seen a dramatic rise in the volume of non-structural and cosmetic repairs, as a result of traffic congestion, speed restrictions and vehicle safety technologies reducing the severity of accidents.

‘At Xpress Centres we’re an ideal fit for around 40% of all accident repairs – and we expect that to increase as driver aids become commonplace.’

Xpress Centres has plans to grow to more than 100 centres to meet the demand for cosmetic repair to come both from the driver looking for a convenient and affordable way to get their car back to its best, and from insurers, fleets and other work providers keen to triage their minor repairs, reduce their cycle times and improve the customer experience.

‘We have been delighted at how quickly some of the larger work providers have engaged with us,” said Craig. ‘We are seeing ever greater volumes of work through our network and exceptional feedback, from both referred and retail customers.’

‘The retail sector will continue to grow as a result of higher insurance excesses and easier and more convenient access to repair centres. At Xpress Centres we’re aiming to build a national brand to deliver a high-street experience which brings vehicle repair out of the industrial estate and into a retail environment to meet the future needs of drivers across the UK.’
