Xpress Centres opens Bournemouth bodyshop

Xpress Centres continues its second phase of growth with the opening of a new fast-track repair bodyshop at the Bournemouth Tesco Extra.

The new centre specialising in the same-day repair of non-structural vehicle damage is the latest in a line of launches with Tesco which will see the network grow to 40 sites by next spring.

‘As we extend our footprint across the country we are focusing on launching centres in key strategic locations,’ said Craig O’Shaughnessy, Xpress Centres managing director. ‘Our new Bournemouth centre becomes our second south-coast location alongside our popular centre in Portsmouth, and really opens up the region to our insurance, accident management and fleet partners who are keen to offer the convenience of same-day repair to their customers.’

Since entering the market in 2016, Xpress Centres has opened 22 centres across England, Scotland and Wales. Each centre can repair and refinish up to four panels per job, including roofs and bonnets, wings, doors, quarter-panels, bumper and tailgates. Centres cater for cars and for light and high-roof commercial vehicles and all repairs are carried out same-day, with many taking less than half a day.

‘A critical part of our business strategy is to partner with high-profile land partners such as Tesco,’ Craig continued. ‘Our customers welcome the familiar and accessible environment, and we are attracting a significant volume of retail repairs from walk-up customers as well as those making a booking through our website.’
