VWG launch new websites

Volkswagen Group UK has launched a suite of customer websites dedicated to accident repair and promoting its Approved Paint and Body network. A total of five websites will be launched, covering the five Group Brands of Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, SEAT and ŠKODA, with the aim of giving customers a relevant branded experience throughout.

Mike Partridge, paint and body business manager commented, ‘The launch of our websites is a fundamental part of our new commercial strategy. I believe that we have the best repair network in the industry, but it was often difficult for our customers to find an approved bodyshop. With these branded websites we have provided our repairers with another tool to help them grow their Volkswagen Group business.’

The websites have a number of features designed to make the customer journey as easy as possible, such as mobile optimisation, which reconfigures the screen based on the type of device the customer is using. The bodyshop search functionality includes the ability to find a centre with any specialisms that may relate to their vehicle, such as aluminium, multi material or commercial vehicle centres. Plus the website allows customers to contact the bodyshops directly via an online form.

Rachel Clarke, paint and body operations executive, said ‘This is just the start of this project. We already have plans in place to improve the content and functionality of the site, with the aim of delivering a class leading experience for our customers.’

Four of the five sites went live on Monday 5 January, with the Audi site due for launch in May this year.
