Volvo awarded Brand of the Year

Volvo has received the Car Brand of the Year title in the 12th annual Which? Awards.

Announced at a presentation ceremony in London, the award puts Volvo among those brands which have achieved positive change and deliver excellent products and services, scoring highly in rigorous Which? research and testing.

Volvo’s achievements in safety and the across-the-board quality of its model range were cited by Which? as decisive factors in securing the award. It reported, ‘Volvo impressed us with its high praise from customers, but it’s the company’s solid safety record that put it ahead of other shortlisted candidates.’

Which? highlighted Volvo’s consistent five-star ratings from independent crash test organisation Euro NCAP, including a safest-in-class ranking for the new XC60 premium SUV, a car active in safety technologies designed to prevent accidents from happening. Which? focused further on product quality throughout the Volvo range and its clean powertrain technologies.

Jon Wakefield, managing director of Volvo Car UK, said, ‘We are very proud that Which? has recognised not only the strides we continue to make in safety, but also the high regard in which our products are held by our customers.’
