Spitfire at London Motor Show

CCM Motorcycles will display its sell-out Spitfire model on the ‘Built In Britain’ feature at The Confused.com London Motor Show, this May.

Developed by CCM’s exclusive SkunkwerX division, the track-inspired street bike boasts a dry weight of 121kg and comes with bespoke suspension and shock systems to give the rider a powerful and comfortable experience.

Only 150 of the original, limited edition Spitfire bikes were created, entirely by hand at the company’s factory in Bolton. The carbon steel trellis frame forms the body housing its 600cc, 55-horsepower single cyclinder engine. Other Spitfire variations have since been created, all combining to produce a unique ‘squadron’ of model makeup.

The Spitfire will take pride of place on the all-new ‘Built In Britain’ feature, a display showcasing the very best of British automotive manufacturing and motoring.

Alec Mumford, chairman of The Confused.com London Motor Show, said, ‘Since 1971, CCM has been recognised for creating some of the finest looking motorcycles and we cannot wait for the sell-out Spitfire to take pride of place on our ‘Built In Britain’ feature. We’re looking forward to seeing, potentially, the widest-range of British vehicles in one place and the motorcycle fraternity will be well represented through CCM’s highly respected Spitfire at this year’s show.’
