Rolls-Royce appoints Johann Wolf

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has announced that Johann Wolf has been appointed as director of manufacturing.

Johann is an experienced production expert, having spent over 40 years with the BMW Group in senior roles across the automotive manufacturing spectrum. He has led teams in all aspects of production and he brings with him an intimate knowledge of the manufacturing process. In his current role, which he has held since 2013, Johann is responsible for integrating all new products into the largest BMW Group manufacturing plant in Europe at Dingolfing.

In addition to his broad production experience, Johann is a specialist in small volume manufacturing, including the development of prototype parts, bespoke production and the handcraftsmanship of individual components.

Johann’s experience of handcraftsmanship began with his apprenticeship with BMW AG, starting in 1977.
