RAC deepens integration with Tootle

Tootle, the smart online platform connecting private car sellers with trade buyers, has announced a deeper integration with British motoring services company, the RAC. This continued partnership will see Tootle continue to strengthen its partner relationship with the organisation through website features, which will subsequently reach an expanded clientele.

The latest integrations will see the Tootle service offered out to the RAC’s consumers as an alternative to selling their car via classified services. The first of these integrations is Tootle’s feature on the ‘Sell your car’ page on the RAC Cars website. Users will be able to choose to sell their used car either by creating an ad on RAC Cars or create a listing with Tootle by clicking directly through to its website. Users can list their car for free and receive 82% of offers within 48 hours. Once the seller accepts an offer, the buyer will arrange payment and collection with the seller directly.

The second integration with the RAC shows Tootle valuations appearing within the ‘Value my car’ functionality on the RAC Cars website. Here, the results page pulls in Tootle valuations as well as valuations from the RAC. Unlike its competitors, Tootle doesn’t charge for valuation or any other part of the sales process.

This consumer-facing exposure comes off the the back of Tootle’s successful work with the RAC dealer network to date. Previously, the Tootle service has been integrated into the RAC dealer dashboard on its site and has also been promoted by email communications.

Digital director of Tootle, Amy Buckley commented, ‘We’re excited to offer drivers a new way to sell their car and look forward to offering the increased volume of stock opportunities to both existing Tootle dealers and new dealers joining from the RAC and wider motor industry.’

Alastair Crossley, head of motoring services at the RAC commented, ‘We are excited to announce a deeper integration with Tootle, expanding both the RAC’s and Tootle’s customer offering. This continued partnership will see us strengthen our partner relationship with Tootle, to subsequently reach an expanded base of clients.’
