Panasonic unveils next generation systems

Panasonic Automotive Systems Company is working with Google to develop Next Generation IVX systems to transform the consumer experience both inside and outside of the vehicle.

Panasonic has announced that that the Panasonic Skip Generation (Skip Gen) In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) Platform has been upgraded to the latest Android operating system (OS) – Android 8.1 Oreo.

The platform will give drivers access to Android Automotive Applications, and demonstrate embedded Google content and services like streaming media, navigation, traffic and weather, as well as vehicle functions like climate settings, which are all controllable with the Google Assistant.
